We met Larissa in 2012 when she was a bridesmaid for her sister, Nikita’s wedding we photographed on that New Year’s Eve. So when Larissa contacted us last year to photograph her wedding in 2014, we were super excited and honoured to photograph another momentous event for this wonderful family.
In December 2013, we met up with Larissa and George for their winter engagement session at Silver Star Mountain Resort which you can view here. These two are such a sweet couple and we love that Larissa is a nurse and George is a doctor – how cute is that!?!
On the day of the wedding, Larissa and George were wed in Salmon Arm at the Deo Lutheran Church, followed by a reception in Larissa’s hometown of Enderby. We love the vast countryside and natural landscapes of Enderby and Salmon Arm which tend to be a lot more lush and green than the more desert-like areas of the Southern and Central Okanagan. A huge thanks to Hanna & Hanna Orchards in Salmon Arm for allowing us to use their beautiful property on the wedding day!
We were also thrilled to shoot in the Enderby countryside and made a special journey to the Ashton Creek Bridge to feature its industrial post and beam construction. Keep your eye out below for an outrageous request from the groomsmen!
Larissa and George’s wedding day had beautiful hot weather and the evening transitioned into a perfect summer evening ending off with a fun sparkler exit at the end of the night. Thank you so much, Larissa & George, for having us document and be part of your amazing day! Congratulations!!!
The Groomsmen requested a photo of them being chased by a dinosaur – I replied that it was so last year, so we had the flower girl and ring bearer terrorize them instead! Haha! I can’t decide if I like colour or black & white better – your favourite?
