Anne and Derek chose the beautiful Cove Lakeside Resort for their destination wedding in Kelowna. With many guests and family travelling to attend the event, it was a perfect location for everyone to gather and enjoy the best of what the Okanagan offers. Anne opted to wear two different dresses for her wedding day – a fun and flirty short dress for her First Look and an elegant gown for her ceremony and reception. A great option if you want to see your husband-to-be before the ceremony, but still want to surprise him walking down the aisle!
After the sweet First Look at Sanctuary Gardens in West Kelowna, we headed back to The Cove for Anne and Derek’s garden ceremony. We love how their adorable daughter, Dayna, was included in all the festivities, from Getting Ready (sooo cute!) to the Sparkler Exit in the evening. During the reception there was many endearing speeches, but we think the most inspiring was from Derek who spoke about embracing life and enjoying every moment. What made it even more meaningful was that he recently recovered from a spinal injury that left him paralyzed – AMAZING!!!
At the end of the night, after the first dance and cake cutting, guests gathered outside for an exciting sparkler exit, which was a perfect finale to a gorgeous day. Congratulations Anne & Derek – wishing you every joy in life together!
