Luxurious Wedding at Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon, BC – Hannah & Rick

Hannah and Rick came up from the Lower Mainland of British Columbia to have their destination wedding at Sparkling Hill Resort in Vernon. For those of you who have never been to Sparkling Hill, this gorgeous modern hotel sits overlooking Okanagan Lake, boasting the largest Spa in Canada with 7 different steam and saunas and has 3.5 million Swarovski crystals throughout the hotel – luxurious, indeed!

Their wedding day was equally elegant and fun, starting off with door games. If you are unfamiliar with Chinese door games, basically the groom and his entourage (wedding party) arrive at the bride’s location and has to win his bride by performing hilarious challenges. The bride is kept away while her bridal party makes sure the groom and his party meets the challenges set. Oh and the groom also has to pay the bridal party to even get through the door. It’s crazy and chaotic…and a whole lot of fun!

After the door games, we photographed their intimate Chinese Tea Ceremony held in the Fireside Lounge, before heading off to Kalamalka Lake for a few lake portraits. Back at Sparkling Hill Resort guests started to gather for their stunning outdoor Terrace ceremony overlooking Okanagan Lake, followed by a cocktail party in the lounge. Meanwhile, Hannah changed into her second beautiful gown before Rick and Hannah made their formal entrance into their beautifully decorated reception. We loved all the gorgeous details of this wedding and were so happy to be a part of it. Congratulations, Hannah & Rick – we wish you so much happiness and LOVE!!!
