We were so excited to hear when Melissa told us that her ultimate engagement session would include an airplane since they have traveled around the world so much together! Finding an airplane for a photoshoot can be a little daunting – airports are pretty secure places and not everyone is going to want you to be around their very expensive possessions. Alas, we were so lucky to be acquainted with Nick, who not only let us pose with his 1966 Piper Cherokee PA28, but moved the plane around as to our preferences and was on site the whole photoshoot to make sure everything went smoothly. Thank you Nick for making this happen!
Melissa and Trevor came to the photoshoot with awesome vintage luggage from Vintage Origami (who will also be creating the décor for their wedding). Melissa had her gorgeous makeup done by the talented Jenny McKinney . We love Melissa’s charisma and her infectious laughter. During the shoot she casually mentioned that she has co-piloted a plane – no big deal! At the end of the photoshoot we busted out some old school Ray Ban aviators for Trevor to wear and he rocked them! The perfect finale to an awesome shoot. Although the day was pretty grey with rain, we had the most amazing luck missing most of it and had a phenomenal sunset glow at the very end of the shoot – hurray! We love this session in so many ways and had such a great time laughing and creating images with Melissa and Trevor (who are such a fantastic, warm-hearted couple). Can’t wait to photograph your upcoming wedding, Melissa & Trevor, in August at The Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna!!!
