Naleesa and Tanner recently moved to Kelowna, so they let us pick an area for their engagement session. Their only request was somewhere that showed off some beautiful autumn colour. Ask any person from Kelowna and they would automatically say “The Mission Greenway,” as it hosts a gorgeous display of colours in the fall. But we wanted something new, something we haven’t done before. So when we realized there are deciduous trees with beautiful fall colour at Kaloya Park we knew we found the perfect location. Plus, it’s also surrounded by the spectacular emerald coloured Kalamalka lake (cool fact of the day: National Geographic Magazine named Kalamalka lake as one of the top 10 most beautiful lakes in the world).
The day turned out to be a bit grey, cold, and rainy, but Naleesa and Tanner were such troopers and withstood the elements. We had the park almost all to ourselves and it was so serene and beautiful being out there during the changing of the seasons. They also brought along their adorable dogs, who were wearing matching sweaters – aww…so cute!!! We love how much attention and thought they put into their photoshoot. They brought along some of their favourite foods: cupcakes, popcorn, and coffee. Plus, some fun balloons that popped against the autumn backdrop. Naleesa & Tanner, we had such a great time with y’all and really look forward to your wedding next July at Sparkling Hill Resort!
